Clio is the result of a collaboration agreement between the Gil family and one of the best winemakers in the world, Chris Rengland, who revolutionized the way of making in Jumilla more than two decades ago.
The grapes are harvested in 15 kg boxes and destemmed by hand. Vinification of varieties separately, fermentation in small stainless steel tanks devatted. Subsequent ageing in new 550-litre French oak barrels for 24 months.
Cherry red heavily covered with purplish trim.
On the nose it has notes of black fruit, cocoa, spices, coffee, leaf litter or aromatic Mediterranean herbs.
Tasty and enveloping on the palate, it has a broad and balsamic mid-palate, with good acidity and a long finish.
