Vizcarra Merlot
Vizcarra Merlot is a wine that is only made when the conditions are favourable, as it is a variety that can give us great satisfaction, with wines with power, freshness and balance.
GRAVITY PROCESSING
AGE OF THE VINEYARD: 30 years.
SOIL: silty with clay-calcareous background.
HARVEST: manual in 15 kg boxes. ELABORATION: selected on a double table (bunch and grain), destemmed before fermentation. 15-18 days of maceration. Alcoholic fermentation in stainless steel tanks. 3 footsteps per day. Malolactic fermentation in barrels.
AGING: 24 months in French oak barrels.
Very intense garnet red colour.
A different style, although very seductive from that classic Merlot of French Pomerol. Great concentration and high aromatic intensity and complexity.
Its aging in French oak barrels for 24 months has helped to obtain firm but elegant tannins. A wine with a lot of personality made to be enjoyed.
